Who you are contracting with
HiFimap is operated by Rikard Braathen, a sole trader based in Sweden ("HiFimap", "we", "us"). These terms form the agreement between you and Rikard Braathen for your use of the HiFimap website and service at hifimap.net.
Acceptance
By creating an account or continuing to use HiFimap, you agree to these terms. If you use HiFimap on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.
What HiFimap does
HiFimap lets you describe the components and cables in an audio system, arrange them on a map, and optionally publish that map at a public link so others can view it. Free and paid plans differ in how many systems you may publish and how large they may be; the current limits are shown on the pricing page.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Please give accurate information and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse HiFimap. In particular, you must not use it for anything unlawful; send fraudulent, deceptive or spam content; upload or publish material that infringes anyone else's intellectual property or privacy; or interfere with the security or integrity of the service, including by introducing malware, probing or scanning our systems, or scraping the site by automated means.
Your content
You keep ownership of the system descriptions, names, notes and other content you add. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely in order to provide the service — including displaying it publicly at the link you choose to publish. Published systems are visible to anyone with the link and may appear in our Explore directory and in search engines, so please do not include information you would rather keep private.
Our intellectual property
We retain all rights in HiFimap itself: the software, diagrams engine, design, illustrations, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under the plan you have chosen. You must not reverse engineer the service, resell or redistribute it, or work around its technical limits.
Payments and plans
Paid plans are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, together with our refund policy. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, the entitlements it unlocked are removed from your account; systems you published while entitled remain online but may become read-only if they exceed the limits of your remaining plan.
Service level
HiFimap is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Please keep your own copy of anything important.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to your account if you materially breach these terms, if a payment is reversed, if your account presents a security or fraud risk, or if you repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable use rules. You may stop using HiFimap and delete your published systems at any time. On termination we may delete your content after a reasonable period.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from the content you publish, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law, and the courts of Sweden have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
